The Real Cost of Missing that Posted Sign

The Real Cost of Missing that Posted Sign - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets.

It's no wonder you found yourself accidentally disobeying a posted sign. If they're not blocked by trees they're obscured by posters for lost cats.

How bad could it be for missing that sign?

Besides a negative point on your driver record you’re looking at hefty fine, after all the state and county assessments are tacked on to the base fine.

Just like the OC register recently reported, a seemingly cheap ticket is more like a few hundred dollars when all is said and done.

And now you’re thinking, how is that fair? After all, the only warning you had for that sign was hidden behind a tree.

That's where TicketKick comes in.

TicketKick can get help you contest your ticket, without you ever having to step foot in court, using a process called Trial by Written Declaration. - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets

What is a Speed Contest and Why it's Risky to Even Watch

What is a Speed Contest and Why it’s Risky to Even Watch - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets.

Just last month, police in Los Angeles had to break up an early-morning, "Fast and Furious"-style highway takeover, reported nbc news.

What is a Speed Contest?
Speed contests or exhibitions of speed, commonly known as "street race," "speed race," or "drag race,” are illegal.

And if you just watch…
Even a spectator, who engages, aids, or participates at a speed contest, could be cited.

Bottom Line

Its risky behavior and the penalties are harsh:
•    Arrest or imprisonment
•    vehicle impoundment
•    fined up to $1,000.
•    driver license revocation
•    car insurance cancellations or huge premium increase.

This Could Help You Void a Sign Violation Ticket

This Could Help You Void a Sign Violation Ticket - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets.

According to WTRF.com, Steven Frazier, 29, got a ticket for rolling past a stop sign. The man went back to the scene later and took his own footage of people missing that same stop sign.

Frazier said the stop sign is so far back from the intersection, you can't see oncoming traffic, reported WTRF.com.

This is as important reminder; anytime you get a ticket for failing to obey a sign you should:

  1. inspect the sign to verify it is visible
  2. if the sign is not visible document your findings by photo, video, and witness statements

A ticket for a sign that is not visible can likely be voided. If you need help fighting a sign violation ticket that you received, contact us or visit our website www.ticketkick.com. - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets

New Mobile App Encourages and Rewards Designated Drivers

New Mobile App Encourages and Rewards Designated Drivers- this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets.

The California of Office Safety (OTS) has launched its free designated driver mobile app, first of its kind.

With features like exclusive offers and discounts by partnering bars and restaurants throughout the state which have volunteered to offer nonalcoholic specialty drinks (“DDrinks”), among other perks, to designated sober drivers, the app truly treats a “DD” like a VIP.  Users can also easily order a sober ride from Uber, Lyft or Curb – all from one screen, according to OTS.

The DDVIP app’s release coincides with California’s annual December DUI Crackdown, which runs from Dec. 13 – Jan. 1. - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets

Starting Jan 1: New Driver License and Auto Insurance Requirements for Undocumented Persons

Starting Jan. 1: New Driver License and Auto Insurance Requirements for Undocumented Persons- this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets.

Starting Jan. 1, the new law requiring the California DMV to issue driver licenses to undocumented persons goes into effect. These new drivers will also be required to meet auto insurance requirements before they can register their vehicles.

Also starting Jan. 1, unauthorized immigrants for the first time are eligible to buy insurance through California Low Cost Auto Insurance.  If the state is successful in getting unauthorized but licensed drivers to sign up for insurance, the state could begin to see a decline in the number of uninsured drivers, a factor that has boosted auto insurance premiums for everyone, the OC register reported. - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets.

Are Your Ready for Winter Weather Driving? Tips from the CHP

Are Your Ready for Winter Weather Driving? Tips from the CHP - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets.

With wet weather trickling in, there’s no time like the present, to brush up on those winter driving tips…

In his Fresno Bee “On Duty” column, CHP Officer David Singer’s runs through some simple but important concepts:

Slow it Down!

Many collisions result from driving too fast. It’s a simple matter of physics: your vehicle can’t stop as fast or turn as accurately on wet or icy pavement, Officer Singer says.

Back Off!

According to Officer Singer, braking and stopping distances are directly related to friction — where the “rubber meets the road,” to be more precise. Liquids, like oil on the asphalt or water, can greatly reduce friction and thereby increase stopping distances.

Show Your Tires Some Love!

Your vehicle needs good tires to handle bad weather. Tread depth should be checked on a regular basis, as well as rotating your tires as recommended in your vehicle owner’s manual, says Officer Singer. - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets

Was the Traffic Ticket You Got in Your Mailbox Sent in Error? Find Out

Was the Traffic Ticket You Got in Your Mailbox Sent in Error? Find Out - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets.

It’s not unheard of for tickets issued via mail to be sent in error. Like to the wrong person: take the Sacramento woman who was accidently mailed 18 tickets, even though she doesn’t drive.

If you get a ticket in the mail, it’s probably a red light camera ticket (maybe even a parking ticket):

  • The name and description of the registered owner should be printed on the ticket – make sure this is you
  • The plate number and description of the vehicle should be printed on the ticket – make sure it’s yours

Mailed a violation in error? Make a phone call to the police department or office of the agency issuing the ticket, to clear up the misunderstanding.

If that doesn’t work, or the error is not so clear cut, additional steps must be taken to get it corrected. For information on how to easily contest a violation you received, visit www.ticketkick.com.  - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets

Police Driving Badly got you Seeing Red? You'll Love This New Tool

Police Driving Badly got you Seeing Red? You’ll Love This New Tool - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets.

A police car without sirens, zipping in and out of lanes, without signaling? If this has got you seeing red then you’ll love this new tracking system for monitoring police officers driving habits:

Ford, is now offering a tracking system for its Taurus and Explorer-based Police Interceptors that can monitor the driving behavior of law enforcement officers (seatbelts, speeding, cornering or braking hard), according to FoxNews.

The technology can then take this information and determine whether the driving behavior, like speeding, was appropriate for the situation, such as whether or not the officer behind the wheel was responding to call. - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets

CHP Wants to Break You of Your Bad Habit: Distracted Driving- this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets.

Drivers are not putting down the phones and in response, the California Highway Patrol and Office of Traffic Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have teamed up for a year-long “Adult Distracted Driving” traffic campaign.

The CHP has announced a minimum of 80 distracted driving extra enforcement operations will be conducted statewide by the end of September 2015, so be on the alert.
