Tips for avoiding cell phone tickets

Tips for avoiding cell phone tickets. - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets.

Distracted Driver Awareness Month may be coming to an end but police will continue to ticket if it looks like you are on your phone.

From outside your car an officer can easily mistake a lawful activity changing a song or dialing a number on your phone, for texting.

Avoid getting stopped in the first place by pulling over if you need to use your phone, asking a passenger to dial for you, or reviewing maps and directions before you start to drive. - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets

Got pulled over? Now what

Got pulled over? Now what. - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Fighting Traffic Tickets.

What you do or say during a traffic stop could make or break you.

If you’re just being difficult, you can bet the officer will be too if you try and fight the ticket that you’re sure to get. But hey, if you’re nice you might get off with just a warning.

When you get pulled over try to eliminate anything that might come off as a potential safety threat. Keep your hands on the wheel and avoid quick reaching movements.  And if you’re worried about saying the wrong thing, just remember your right to remain silent. - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Fighting Traffic Tickets

Do bicyclists have to obey speed limits?

Do bicyclists have to obey speed limits? - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Fighting Traffic Tickets.

Fines and speeding tickets for mountain bikers could soon be real, according to gearjunkie. The speed limit enforcement, which began earlier this month is taking place within northern California’s parklands, where trails are shared by bikers, hikers, and pedestrians.

Marin County, is now enforcing 15 mph speed limits on trails using speed guns and other tactics to slow riders down, according to gearjunkie.

While the enforcement aspect may seem new, the law itself isn’t. State law requires bicyclists to obey traffic laws like red lights, stop signs, and even the speed limit. - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Fighting Traffic Tickets

Tens of thousands of California drivers have had their traffic fines reduced, according to a report by state authorities.

This was made possible by Gov. Jerry Brown’s amnesty program, implemented to help the poor.  In just the first three months of the program, more than 58,000 drivers benefited according to the Judicial Council of California. - This blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Fighting Traffic Tickets
