The California Rolling Stop: Most drivers don't even realize they are doing it

The California Rolling Stop: Most drivers don’t even realize they are doing it. - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Fighting Traffic Tickets.

Did you really stop at that stop sign? Many people roll through stop signs on auto pilot without even realizing it especially along routes they take all the time.

According to Manteca Bulletin.com, Police Chief Nick Obligacion guesses that at least 50 percent of the time most motorists don’t come close to stopping in the manner California law requires.

Remember the rules:

  1. If there’s a limit line stop the entire vehicle behind the line.
  2. If there’s a crosswalk stop behind the crosswalk.
  3. Yield in lieu of stopping only when there’s actually a yield sign in place of a stop sign.

What your favorite music says about the way you drive. - This blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Fighting Traffic Tickets.

A survey by Kanetix.ca (online comparison site for insurance and other financial tools) asked 1,000 drivers about what they liked to listen to in the car, their driving habits and driving record.

Overall the survey showed that the type of music drivers listen to does seem to have some correlation to driving habits.

Heavy metal music and talk radio listeners were more prone to getting a speeding ticket. While Classical and folk music listeners were probably less prone.

Hip-hop listeners were more likely to be charged with careless driving. And country music or classic rock listeners were more likely to have been charged with a DUI. - This blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Fighting Traffic Tickets.

Traffic safety: Game plan for the Big Game. - This blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Fighting Traffic Tickets.

Along with a big crowd, Super Bowl festivities are sure to increase traffic in the Bay Area.

The CHP has released its game plan for keeping the roads safe during this time.

The public can expect to see increased law enforcement presence on and around February 7, 2016.

Plan ahead how you will get home after game-day socializing – get a DD, use public transport, or hail a cab.

If you’re hosting on game day, the CHP suggests offering non-alcoholic beverages and helping guests find a sober ride home. - This blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Fighting Traffic Tickets.

Common myth about police enforcement debunked

Common myth about police enforcement debunked. - This blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Fighting Traffic Tickets.

When we hear “speed trap” we think steep hill and a hiding officer.

This begs the question, does an officer have to be out in plain view when monitoring traffic?

We’ve got news for you. There appears to be no state law preventing an officer from discreetly parking behind that tree or that building. So remember, just because you don’t see them, doesn’t mean they can’t see you.- This blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Fighting Traffic Tickets
