CHP steps up enforcement on problem freeways for Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month

CHP steps up enforcement on problem freeways for Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Fighting Traffic Tickets.

As part of Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, the CHP is stepping up patrols along certain trouble spots.

On the 110 and 405 freeways and along the Angeles Crest Highway (roads which have the highest number of motorcycle crashes), officers will focus on violations committed by both vehicle drivers and motorcyclists, according to abc7.

Drivers, remember to look for motorcyclists before changing lanes.

Riders, remember lane-splitting is not explicitly legal yet (might be if new bill gets passed) so take caution doing it.

Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month continues through the end of May.  - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Fighting Traffic Tickets

California's Chief Justice seeks to remove roadblocks when challenging traffic ticket fines

Wednesday, May 20th, 2015

California’s Chief Justice seeks to remove roadblocks when challenging traffic ticket fines - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Fighting Traffic Tickets.

According to the Judicial Council of California, the Chief Justice is asking for emergency action to adopt a rule of court to facilitate access to justice for court users challenging traffic fines:

“Many of the procedures and practices regarding traffic fines derive from statute,” the Chief Justice said. “However, the law is confusing and may result in inconsistent practices or policies throughout the state.”

In addition, the Commission on the Future of California’s Court System, is taking a broader look at traffic proceedings and the impact of traffic fines, fees, and penalties.- this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Fighting Traffic Tickets.

These three traffic tickets will raise your insurance rates the most

Tuesday, May 12th, 2015

These three traffic tickets will raise your insurance rates the most - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Fighting Traffic Tickets.

According to MainStreet.com, Laura Adams, senior analyst for InsuranceQuotes.com, says of all the moving violations a motorist can earn a ticket for, these three are the worst:

1)     DWI/DUI: Average rate increase in California = 184%

2)     Reckless driving: Average rate increase in California = nearly triple.

3)     Speeding 31+ miles over the limit: Percentage of average rate increase = 29.26%

If you’re like most people you probably cannot afford to pay the high ticket fines or increases in your insurance rates.

Now of course, we do not encourage reckless driving, but no matter how safe of a driver you are, inevitably everyone gets traffic tickets. What are you really paying for when you pay off your traffic ticket fine?

Tuesday, May 05th, 2015

What are you really paying for when you pay off your traffic ticket fine? - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets.

The LA Times uncovered that about 80% of what Californians pay for their moving violations isn’t part of the so-called “base fine” at all:

One reason you pay so much when you are ticketed for, is that there are surcharges added to your ticket to help victims of violent crimes; to pay for training police officers; to provide services to people with traumatic brain injuries; to build new court facilities; and even one to protect the state's wildlife!

It’s no wonder most people simply cannot afford to pay the high ticket fines.

We say: don't just pay off your ticket when you can fight it.  - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets
