Stop Signs: Aren't Bicyclists Required to Stop Too?

Stop Signs: Aren’t Bicyclists Required to Stop Too?- this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets.

Believe it or not, stop signs are not optional for bicyclists.

A bicyclist who fails to stop for a stop sign can be ticketed just like a driver of a car, under the same Vehicle Code, section 22450.

Although violations occurring on a bicycle are not assigned a negligent operator point in California (the points that go on your driving record), bicycle violations do carry just as hefty a fine.  - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets

Buckle Up Fido When Driving - It's the Law

Buckle Up Fido When Driving – It’s the Law- this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets.

In California, no person may drive any animal in the back of the vehicle (like the bed of a truck), unless the animal is secured in such a manner to prevent jumping or falling from the vehicle.

It’s also a good idea to buckle-up Fido on his own seat when inside the vehicle. Officers have been known to ticket drivers for “unsafe speed” or “reckless driving,” if driving with a dog sitting or leaning over the driver, in such a manner that might hinder the driver’s ability to safely operate the vehicle.

So, buckle up for safety (and ticket prevention), both you and your furry friend!  - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets

Gear Up for New Traffic Law- Space Cushion for Cyclists

Wednesday, Aug 13th, 2014

Gear Up for New Traffic Law- Space Cushion for Cyclists - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets.

As the month of September nears, we’re reminding motorists of a new traffic law that police will start ticketing for starting September 16, 2014.

Dubbed the “Three Feet for Safety Act,” it will become a citable offense for drivers to pass a cyclist with less than three feet of clearance.

If there’s not enough room, don’t take a chance with being ticketed, instead slow down and pass only if you can do so safely.  - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets

Redlight Camera Tickets - Spotting a Phony

Tuesday, Aug 05th, 2014

Redlight Camera Tickets - Spotting a Phony- this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets.

The number of U.S. cities with roadside cameras is on the decline, from 540 in 2012 to 508 this year.

While red light camera use is on the decline, there are many cities left throughout California where red light cameras are still active.

So, if you received a red light camera ticket, make sure it’s valid... There are tell-tale signs to look for like a due date and courthouse.

Ticketkick can help you spot a phony (snitch) ticket, and, help you fight it too if you do have a real one. - this blog was written by TicketKick.com, Your Go-To Resource for Beating Traffic Tickets
